Launching Monica Veles Photography

Welcome to Monica Veles Photography! I’ve been looking forward to typing those words for quite some time and I’m thrilled that the day has finally come! To my family, friends, and first clients, you are appreciated more than you know!

If you don’t know me, I’m a 20-something, chai latte obsessed, PNW girl who has watched the show Friends too many times to count!

As I launch this business, my goal as a photographer is to capture joyful and authentic moments that you’ll treasure for years to come. But I’m not here just to snap photos. Getting to know people and telling their unique stories is the foundation that led me here.

Surprisingly, photography wasn’t part of my original life plan. A passion for storytelling led to a bachelor’s degree in journalism and determination to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Down the road, things changed and my camera made for a creative storytelling tool that I fell in love with. You can learn more about my journey here.

Developing photography branding that was more than just an average logo was a top priority of mine. Hailey Coral made that dream come to life! From a vision, to many conversations, mood boards and more, came the Monica Veles Photography brand—an authentic representation of the girl behind the camera. If you’re looking for an incredible graphic designer, Hailey is who you need! Hailey, thank you so, so much!

I recognize that I’m taking a risk here. Many businesses fail within the first year. That’s crazy! But the thing is, I’m not afraid of failing. Not because I think I’ll be a thriving success, but because if I’d much rather fail trying than say I never tried. So as I start this new adventure, I hope I can be here to not only take beautiful photographs, but also to encourage someone out there to do something they’ve always wanted to do and not be afraid to start.

My business journey has just begun and I’m incredibly excited for the road ahead! Now let’s have fun (from 6 feet away for now)! I’ll be smiling under my mask! :)

Cheers!
Monica
